 How you can Help! Behind The Walls Inc is registered as a non-profit corporation 501 (c) (3) in the State of New York and also as an exempt organization with the Internal Revenue Service. All donations are tax deductible. We are a non denominational christian charitable organization. The majority of orphan children in Russia share the same life story: One or both of their parents have died. One has died an they never knew the other. A parent is in prison. Children have often been taken away from a parent due to alchohol and drug abuse. Many of them have suffered from physical and emotional abuse. Alcoholism is a scourge accounting for many children surrendered to the "Detski Dom". Experts believe that there are approximately 2 million children living in orphanages and on the streets. These numbers are growing each year. Our sole purpose is to minister to orphans and other less fortunate children in some of the poorest regions in the former Soviet Union. We share the message of God's love to them and when possible provide much needed aid such as clothing, medicine, toys and most importantly much love and attention. I ask you to prayerfully consider in helping us to reach out to these children in need!
